The walking dead is very popular Classic American zombie-apocalypse horror tv show based on a comic book series. This series has 11 seasons with the total of 147 episodes. This series has a very large cast of people, the survivors of this zombie apocalypse, joins together to stay alive from the threats of zombies known as “walkers”. The main lead of this show, Rick Grimes who was the police officer and the present head of the survived group of people. Rick takes these people along with his family to a safer place away from these walkers. The survival of these people from these walkers, the conflicts they face was shown beautifully. Kingdom

Kingdom is one of the most popular South Korean Zombie series. Not like other zombie series it was set in the 16th century of a Joseon period that blends the political and the Zombie horror element together. The story follows Lee Chang, the crown prince of Joseon, who attempts to investigate the mysterious illness spreading around his country. During the investigation he struck in the middle of this deadly zombie epidemic waving towards the Kingdom of Joseon. Lee Chang has to save his country from this plague and stop the political dispute happening in his country. This series consists of 2 seasons (6+6 episodes) with a special movie, Ashin of the North (Back story of the Zombie apocalypse outbreak) starring Jun Ji-hyun.  Every single episode of this series will be a Bone-chilling thrill for you. Definitely you should give it a try for this one.

 

All of us are Dead

Yes, again Korean series. When it comes to Zombie apocalypse Kdrama will never disappoint us. All of us are dead is one of the very interesting South Korean Horror Zombie apocalypse series consists of 12 episodes aired on Netflix. The zombie outbreak in a high school slowly spreads around the country. The trapped student struggle to survive from their infected friends. With no food and communication outside, they use equipment around the school to protect themselves from the zombies to reach out and escape. This series packed with heart-thumbing action throughout, characters that one can relate to, and some really emotional & heartbreaking moments towards the end. Despite being held primarily of young cast of high school students, everyone delivered their roles really well, and you could really feel their emotions as well. And the good news is Season 2 of All of us are dead is under production currently and expected to release in mid-2023.

 

iZOMBiE

iZOMBiE is an American supernatural crime show which is an adaptation of a comic book. This series has 5 seasons of 71 episodes. Under some circumstance Olivia a medical resident has turned into a zombie while attending a boat party. He finds that she couldn’t satisfy her new appetite for brains. So instead of killing innocent people, she decided to take a job in Morgue and eat brains of the corpses she autopsies. Over the course 5 seasons the number of zombies in Seattle increases. At the end the 3rd seasons, a private military company run by zombies infects thousands of people in Seattle with the zombie virus and imposes martial law on the city to create a safe place for zombies to live. Olivia becomes the leader of a human smuggling operation bringing people who want to become zombies into Seattle. This is the series with the very interesting storyline which will not disappoint you in any episode so give it a try.

 

Happiness

Yeah, you can ask me why is that out of five, three are Kdrama, because they deserve these positions. Again, when it comes to Zombie apocalypse Kdrama will never disappoint us. Happiness is a South Korean zombie apocalyptic thriller series starring Han hyo-joo and Park Hyung-sik. It was premiered on tvN consists of 12 episodes, also available on Viki, Viu, Netflix and iQIYI in some places. The zombie outbreak here is due to the release of failed treatment drug. Yi-Hyun and Sae-Bom was in a newly constructed high-rise building. They stay in a same apartment with a killer inside, the struggle they face, how they escaped from this apocalypse, whether they found the cure for this is the rest of the story. Just like other zombie apocalyptic kdrama, Happiness also gave it’s best to maintain the thrill and never disappointed. This is also a highly recommended zombie apocalypse series.

 

Ash vs Evil Dead

Ash vs Evil Dead is an American comedy horror tv show with 3 seasons (30 episodes). The show is set in an Evil Dead Universe and the fact is it doesn’t require to watch the previous movies for starting this one. Ash has spent his last 30 years avoiding the terrors of the evil dead until a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind and Ash becomes mankind’s only hope. This series take everyone on a hilarious, evil banging, old age charming, BS giving and freaking howdy journey of Ashley Joana Williams aka Ashey Slashey. This show will definitely be new to your experience with different theme of apocalyptic series.
